Astrological Geomancy is an ancient method of divination. The word "geomancy" means earth divination and is believed to have come from the use of sand to generate the geomantic figures, the basis of prediction in geomancy.
Geomantic divination is possibly of African or Middle Eastern origin: systems of divination employing the same set of figures have been recorded in West Africa and Malagasy, though these lack the elaboration of Agrippa’s method.
The figures of Geomancy consist of various groupings of odd and even points in 4 lines. Of these the greatest possible number of combinations is 16. Therefore these sixteen combinations of odd and even points arranged on four lines are the sixteen figures of Geomancy. These are again classed under the heads of the Elements, the Signs of the Zodiac, and the Planets. The figures are attributed to each of the Seven Planets, while the remainder are attributed to Caput and Cauda Draconis the Head and Tail of the Dragon, or the North and South Nodes of the Moon. Furthermore, to each Planet and Sign certain ruling Spirits are attributed.
We created a 76 cards deck: 4 x 16 cards with the Geomantic figures (for 4 Mothers figures) and 12 cards with the 12 Astrological houses.
The cards depict Geomantic figures, Elements, Signs of the Zodiac, the Planets and the Sigils. The Sigils of the planetary spirits as used in Geomancy differ from the forms obtained by plotting their names on the planetary “magic squares".
In this case the geomancer instead to creates sixteen lines of points or marks, pulls out four random cards. And then continues the regular divination process.
There are several types of reading possible as outlined in the description. Some use them to derive a single figure as an answer. Others prefer to combine it with astrology.
All card decks have the Certificate numbered and signed by the authors.
