This privately published deck, printed in the USA, is limited to an edition of 600 copies, signed and numbered by the artist. The Tarot of the Absurd was voted one of the 10-best new decks of 2012 by the members of Aeclectic Tarot.
The Tarot of the Absurd is a full 78-card deck with playful white-on-black imagery. Each tarot card measures 120 x 75 mm. The card stock is excellent for shuffling. The back of each tarot card has the same reversible double-door motif featured on the hand-finished, ribboned sleeve. The ribbons vary widely. Suits are cups, coins, sticks and blades.
The deck comes without a book, tho a book is in the works. However, the tarot cards are based on standard Rider-Waite Smith correspondences. The expressive images on each tarot card are perfect for reading intuitively. In addition, many of the cards are discussed on the artist’s blog.
