The five pointed Star is a most ancient symbol predating by centuries the six pointed Star ofter associated with Solomon.
Solomon, the King, was the second son of David and Bathsheba and the third King of Israel. He ruled around the 10th century B.C. Traditions in Hebrew Syriac. Arabic and Ethiopc all hold that King Solomon was a Master Magician and that he had authority over all the Spirits as he had over the Birds and Beasts.
