Just like the legendary hero who responded to the call of fate and set off on an adventure, I started the illustration of my first tarot deck. From the innocence and excitement of the first card, to the completion and relaxation of the last, I have gained a deeper understanding of destiny. As William Blake said: "The roar of the lion, the howling of the wolf, the raging of the turbulent sea, and the destructive sword, are all part of eternity that mortals fail to recognize." When we are absorbed in our performance on the stage of life, we cannot see the stage itself. Only by pausing for a moment and sitting in the audience can we begin to glimpse things from the perspective of the divine.
In life, people put on all kinds of masks and play different roles when facing different people. There are times of joy and times of sadness, times of comedy and times of tragedy. When encountering troubles, try taking off the mask of your current role and become an audience member. Look at and appreciate this drama from the perspective of a bystander, and maybe we can make plans for the next phase of the plot more clearly. This is not about predicting the future, but looking at problems from a different angle. I hope that the real people behind the masks can be adventurous like The Fool, passionate but not wild like The Magician, contemplative but not passive like The High Priestess, and ultimately reach the height of The World, achieving perfect growth.
